Hello and thanks for visiting our website.
I have been the Pastor here for about three years now. Before coming to Kalamazoo, it was my pleasure to serve as Pastor for the Greenleafton Reformed Church in Southeast Minnesota.
I have been married for 15 years to a wonderful woman named Marijo. God has blessed us with two daughters, Holly and Jessica. All four of us originally hail from Michigan, so coming to Kalamazoo felt quite a bit like coming home.
I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, graduating from Grand Rapids Central High in 1979. I received a Bachelors of Science in economics from Grand Valley State College (now a University) in 1985. Answering the call from God, I entered Western Theological Seminary on the campus of Hope College in Holland Michigan in the summer of 1994. Three years later, with my Masters degree in hand, I entered the professional ministry and left for Minnesota.
The hobbies I enjoy include wood-working and watching old movies. There are few times in life as fun as camping with the family on vacation. Currently the four of us, with some help from some very kind friends, are building a new house. What a project!
